Castiglione della Pescaia is a very lively, medieval little town (now a seaside resort) dominated by the walled ancient hamlet: a picturesque intrigue of alleys, squares and romantic terraces with views on the coastline. At night, during the high season, youŽll find a vast choice of entertainments. On Saturdays, opposite the bridge, thereŽ s an interesting market and everyday, late in the afternoon, when the fishing boats land, fresh fish can be bought along the banks. Most renown beaches are nearby (Rocchette, PuntŽAla, Cala Violina).
